When You Question Hardships

Dear younger me,IMG_3471.JPG

You have not gone through this yet. But I want you to be prepared. I want you to know that life is a fairytale with many unexpected turns. It is the most beautiful growing process anyone could ever experience. Most of the things you will experience will be unexpected and unexplainable. But remember this:

Some experiences will make you happy, some will hurt you. But regardless, they will grow you.

Some things may be harder to swallow than others. But in the end, you are going to be OK. You will learn important lessons through hard times, and you will learn to value the good times even more. Your good times will be brighter and better.

You will learn.

You will learn to be patient, you will learn to be joyful. Life has a funny way of challenging you. It is impossible not to realize there is a plan for your life. How many times have you looked back and realized all the “coincidences” in your life, could not be just “coincidences”. There is a heavenly plan being carried out in your life. Relax, take a deep breath and let it happen. It will all work out.

Emotions too shall pass.

Keep in mind that pain and emotions are temporary. Pain is a great teacher. It shows you what your true desires are. Emotions are tools; they allow you to see what you are lacking. They open your eyes to what you need to work on. So pay close attention to your emotions, allow yourself to feel them. They are your soul’s way of crying out for help.

Someone greater than us is looking out for you.

Growing you. Someone knows you better than you know yourself. Someone who knows exactly what or who you need. That someone knows when and where you need it too. Life events are not random. Every single thing happens for a reason. That reason is to grow you.

At the end of the day, just remember this too will pass. Storms will not last forever. Ask yourself, what do I need to learn from this? Learn your lesson, be thankful for it, and move on. Let your person develop. Be graceful with yourself. Be patient. Life is a process and you are part of it.
